Birthday Blues

Last week was my birthday week and the excitement of it all has worn off and regular life has settled back in.    It started off with opening up my gift from my gal pal M, is this CUTE or what?  It's on a little stand and is about 12 x 18". She added Timtex in the top to keep it standing up on the curve.  The sleeve is about the height if the candle. L-O-V-E everything about this and I will now keep it up for the whole month.  I usually say "it's my birthday week" but this deserves more than 7 days.

Mani, pedi, facial at the spa was my surprise, along with dinner with friends and a beautiful suite at the hotel.  What a sweetheart he is!

These were waiting for me at the table and 5 days later, they are still beautiful.

And to ensure some quilting in this post,  another Wedge project in the works.  Way out of my range in terms of color and fabric prints, but so far the comments have been good.

Such a nice birthday wall quilt. Years ago, I made a birthday cake wall hanging for a friend many years ago. It was a humorous piece that tickled her funny bone a lot.
A late Happy Birthday to you.

Happy birthday! Somehow I missed knowing about it last week. Definitely, you should celebrate all month!

Happy belated Birthday! I'm glad you were spoiled!
I can't wait to see more of the wedge quilt. Not my color choice either but it sure is striking! You have my interest and maybe a brighter quilt is in my future.

Well, Happy Birthday week. I would say he is a keeper. My DH has no imagination when it comes to gifts, so I think he did pretty good. Your quilt is very "happy". Have fun working on it.
