BTCT Updated

I've done the "hump" block, that was block # 13.  Now I only have 12 more to go and then I can work on the borders.  Hmm, maybe I could work on one border, then a block, then a border....etc.  This will keep the momentum going and I won't get dragged down in doing 4 large borders one after another.  I'll keep that thought in mind once all the blocks are posted.
Here is what I have so far.
It was hard to impossible to get the 4th row completely in the photo, this is also a block with a pot.

I'm loving this project, I'm staying on task, my applique skills have grown by leaps and bounds.  I still keep thinking "hand quilting" on this, and I know for sure that I will be keeping this quilt for myself.
What did you work on that stretched your skills?

You are doing a beautiful job. Where are the border patterns. I must have missed them. I know they have lots of cherries.

These beautiful blocks are calling for hand quilting IMHO, or at least some amazing machine quilting!
My "stretch" is a double wedding ring quilt I started a couple of years ago--ran into a snag when I couldn't get enough of one of the fabrics. Finally found it online, but I'd lost my momentum. It sits in my cupboard. I need to get it out--all of the arcs are pieced and everything else is cut. I just need to sew it all together.

WOW, wow, wow, I am trying really hard not to get sucked into this one. Your blocks are amazing!
Everyday I learn something new every quilt. A lot of it at the machine, my biggest weakness.

Your blocks look SO good together. I, too, can't wait for this quilt to come together. It is definitely a keeper. Like your idea of border, block, border, block. Either way, it will be one quilt that we will finish for sure.

I LOVE your blocks! They look fabulous together..or seperately. A good measure to indicate that you're making something really special. :)

My biggest challenge was a Princess Feather in modern Kaffe type prints. It had borders with a lot of applique and doing that last border was a challenge. I kind of "hit the wall" on repeating everything by the time I got to it. If you do some of the work on the borders as you go, I think it will be less boring?

Your blocks look good together. It's nice to see them all out. It's going to be a huge quilt when it's finished. I am glad you're going to keep it. You will be the one to really appreciate it, especially if you're planning to hand quilt
