Transformation

I've taken this....

and turned it into this.....

I had the blocks sewn into each half and pinned together. All that is what I call production work. The fun part of this is designing it on the wall. It still needs a few more seams, border ideas are swirling in my mind. This WIP has been in a box for some time, and now I needed a comfort quilt. I think this is perfect for her.

Very Nice! You chose a great piece of focus fabric for the project ~

That turned out great! I wouln't have thought that your focus fabric had enough "open space" to create such beautiful blocks, but it does. Next time I make one of these quilts, I will widen my range of focus fabric ideas. I love how you are arranging the colors, too. This is one beautiful quilt.

That was a perfect fabric for that pattern. I have some of that one too, in fact 3 colors of it. Great quilt!

Oh my, how incredible is this! I had to enlarge it and study how you got those blocks to work out of this fabric. Good job--more than eye candy--this is a gourmet dessert!

That is amazing.Who would've thought the focus fabric could turn into the quilt it has. Love it.

That is an amazing quilt. Is it from "One block Wonders"? I have that book but thought it was a lot of work. I love yours. Isn't the convention to use the original fabric on the borders?

Absolutely gorgeous!!! I love the way you've placed the blocks. When I see these I'm always amazed at seeing the fabric they came from. I never would have guessed you'd get such a wonderful variety. :)
