Keepin' On With This

I've decided I am not going to get stressed over some of the crazy methods or blocks that are part of JT2. I agree with other bloggers when they call it Just Takes TOO Much Time.
Quilting should be enjoyable, relaxing, and creative. So, I shall simply drop the crazy patterns and put my own twist on this quilt. The quilt police won't come knocking at my door and no one is going to compare my quilt to the pattern and say I screwed it up!
No, there is no pineapple block so far, but I have two for my quilt!

you are so right...you should make it your "own" quilt and doing blocks that stress you out won't make for a nicer quilt.

Excellent! I was going to stick with it exactly, but that really had to go out the window if I was going to enjoy it. Love your blocks!

Great job changing things up to keep it fun, and the bonus is you'll have a quilt that's truly yours. Your blocks are beautiful! Love the pineapple!

Good for you! I don't understand the mentality that the block has to be difficult to be "worthy". It's your quilt - make it your way! What you have is looking super - love that red and white!

I love the applique block. Well done with all the curves.

I'm having a hard time keeping up too but I am trying to teach myself some new methods and learn some new blocks.....I'll catch up eventually and be thrilled with my red and white quilt to celebrate my trip to NYC to see the Infinite Variety show in 2011.

Your are looking super nice......

I've never been one to follow quilting rules. I say be unique - your quilt will look fabulous for it! I think your blocks look wonderful!

There are some blocks that don't appeal to me either and I'm glad to read that you have stepped outside the box and are doing your own thing. Love what you have done so far.

I didn't last past the first blocks when I realised it was goiing to be one huge commitment. You've done well and I love the ones you've got done.
