I've Been Bitten

I couldn't take it any more. After Ann posted her basket quilt, then I see this blog post, and then Karen's blog...well, I just couldn't take it anymore.
I've been bitten by the basket bug. Say that five times with pins in your mouth! So the plan. Well, cream backgrounds and red baskets, and maybe some brown baskets, and some striped ones. Who knows. Mabye there might even be some plaid ones! If it feels right, I will stitch it. I've got a tin started for this project, it's nice and portable and can be done with a few minutes caught here and there.
I'm practicing my needle turn applique with this project. There are no quota's on how many blocks I'm going to make, it might be a 9 patch wall hanging or a queen size quilt. Not! One never knows the destination when we start some of our journeys.
What is that old expression? Going to *ell in a hand basket? Not to worry, my butt is way too big to fit into these baskets!

Your baskets are wonderful!!! It's nice to sit and stitch a little and have a finished block when you're done? I found the baskets a perfect project for odd bits of time.
If you run short on reds...let me know..I'll send you some. :)

I saw yours and after your class at the quilt show. I started several of my own to practice needle turn. The baskets are cute and a sit and watch TV project.
