Overcoming Fears

I love applique, all methods. I love learning new ways to applique, the more techniques, the better equipped I am for any project. But I've always had this fear of reverse applique. Ohhh, that was for the really good appliquer's, not me.

So as I've worked along on my Beyond the Cherry Tree, I've appliqued on top of things instead of doing the reverse method.  This came to a halt when I got to this block.
I took the plunge...........hey, this isn't so hard.  What was I so afraid of?

Reverse applique is fun and looks good - how about trying a different colour beneath?

It looks fantastic Sharon! Actually reverse applique is very similar to regular applique;) But now you know that...what's the next challenge?

My daughter made a skirt with reverse applique designs all around it. Looked hard to me, but I am chicken with anything that has the word applique attached to it. This block looks great. Good for you for tackling and overcoming a quilting fear!

I wasn't going to do the reverse applique on my blocks either but gave in and tried it. Now I don't mind doing it. I like your red vase.
