Borders Added

I hope you are not sick of seeing my Beyond the Cherry Tree project. It's been a long haul but I'm sticking with it and I've started border #3. In the meantime, I've added the side borders.
The pattern shows the borders added "log cabin" style. I've changed things up, I've put the sides on and will let the applique just run off into the seam allowance.

The top and bottom borders are going to have a few additions, right now I'm stitching down the vine on #3. I will make decisions as I go along, I want it to be original and have some flowers/fabrics tie back into the center.

If you want to see the latest finish of a BTCT, pop over to Mimi's Passions.  She has just got her's back from her quilter and only needs to bind and label her masterpiece.  Go check it out!

I never tire of seeing any of the Cherry Tree quilts. I wonder how many there are in the works.

Well, thank you Sharon. I for one will never get tired of seeing your Cherry Tree quilt and am very anxious to see the new additions that you are going to put on the two other borders. I am sure they will be beautiful.

Never, ever will we get tired of seeing or sharing our Cherry Tree quilt progress! You are almost there, Sharon - won't be long now!

My borders were added the same way you are doing yours. I had intended to do the log cabin style but had all ready cut the lengths for a traditional setting. Having to do the trailing vines into the seams made me bulk at first but that is the way our unknown quilter(s)? did it so "it is what it is!"

Have a good weekend and Happy stitching
