I had such high hopes for my sewing Saturday. Many moments of preparation, trying to pack the smallest amount of things, and getting all organized. Since a sew day involves a lot of socializing, chatting, eating and general fun, I wanted a project that didn't require a lot of pieces or complex piecing.
One would think a 9 patch would fill that category, right? Not so much!
And I was so confident, I didn't even bring a seam ripper. When I finally realized what I had done, I packed it all away, and decided the unsewing would be a good tv project.
Sunday night Seam Ripping, check!
Now to find some time to get these blocks sewn into the right place!
What's your favorite 2 color quilt?

Oh, how frustrating was this? I can just see myself doing it. Maybe next time a simple 4-patch would be safer. : )
I have never made a two color quilt. I always have to slip at least one other color in there somewhere.
I love two color quilts, especially red and white :)
but lately I have been dreaming of blue and white.
favorite, will have to think about that, hard to chose!

ps sorry you have to spend some time with mr seam ripper.
I have lost count of how much reverse sewing I have done over the years. Our sewing time is so precious it is frustrating when this happens - bet you were having fun visiting with everyone though!!
Oh darn! Two color quilts can be monotonous, that's why it is a good project for a retreat....sometimes that doesn't work:(
I'm a fan of red and white!
I love your color scheme!
sorry you had to rip... yuck!
I love ALL 2 color quilts!
The prettiest one I ever held - was saffron yellow and white with LOTS of embroidery and applique' in the borders. The embroidery threads matched the yellow fabric perfectly!
Sounds like me! Better luck next time! I like your cheddar and white ( crackers), but I am partial to blue and butter cream.
I too love 2-color quilts, but if I were to make one, red and white would be the first. I do love your gold and white though, so I might end up making more.
Oh, no!! I hate when that happens, but luckily it can all be fixed. Great job just getting them ready to be re-assembled. Sometimes I seem to spend more time ripping than putting together! I love your colors...
