Changing Seasons

I got the final rounds on my two pillow tops.  They will definitely be ready for next Hallow'een.
Carol will be ready for Christmas, look at this beauty. The border is one that requires dedication.

Don't you just love all the lights around the outside? They remind me of the big lights my Dad put on our Christmas tree every year.

That was his job and the first step to trimming the tree.  After that, he did the garland and then it was ready for all of us to put on the ornaments and tinsel, one strand at a time..........just like quilting, one stitch at a time.

Great job, Carol.  I need to pull out my pattern and get started on my Christmas trees.

Your pillow tops look darling!

LOVE Carol's christmas quilt!
The applique'd light border looks fabulous!

We share similar memories of big bulb lights and Dad hanging tinsel one strand at a time. Ahhh... the good old days. :)

The Halloween cats are so cute! I'm loving all the orange and black projects I am seeing on blogs lately.
That tree quilt is wonderful. Yes, that border is probably more than I would be willing to do, but what a difference it makes! So Fun!

Love those cats. Wish I had that issue. I have always loved that Christmas quilt. I may have that one somewhere and your story about the lights was the same in my house growing up, too. I love the holidays!!!
