Stevenson WA Quilt Show

This is a long overdue post, but finally I've pulled together a bunch of pictures to tell a story about the Stevenson Quilt Show. The trip took place Sept 16 - 20th and it all

^started in my kitchen.^

^We loaded up the vehicle and hit the road.^
Thanks Rena, what a great quilt you had in the show!
We traveled to Innovations in Tacoma and stayed long enough for me to teach my class, cruise the show, spend $125 and get back on the road to Chehalis, home of Sisters Quilt shop. Wow, do they have inventory!

My traveling buddy and pilot of our trip decided to do a little retail therapy in the clothing store next to the quilt shop. After trying on many things, a new pair of shoes ended up going home with Muriel. While standing at the counter and thinking about what we were going to have for lunch, M thought she would just have a taste of the sample of something the store had on display. We were getting hungry, we had already shopped 2 quilt stores. Just a bite......

What she didn't plan on was washing out her mouth with soap.
And me, the one with the potty mouth! This was the best laugh I had during our whole trip!
We continued on to Cascade Locks in the Columbia Gorge and here are some pics of our trip.
View from the hotel
Nightly trains passing by.
Morning sunrise across the river.
Last moments of the sunrise.
Display and gardens at the toll booth on the Bridge of the Gods.

Quilt pictures later......
