Vashon Island Shopping Trip

It was overwhelming, and when this happens, I can't make decisions.  Good thing  I decided in advance of walking in the door of this amazing quilt shop.  I think any print designed by Kaffe has passed through the doors of this shop.
I stuck to solids, and just a couple of prints.  And some stripes, and some shot cottons. Oh, there was also  a few yards of a novelty Henry Alexander.  Ok, I admit it, I didn't have tons of willpower, but I did stick pretty close to my plan and more important, to my budget.
I just picked up a few things..........No, seriously, this was a few peoples cutting piles!
This should be called  "Got Kaffe?"
A short stroll down the street brought us to Farmers Saturday Market, what a beautiful stand, full of fresh garden flowers.
It was a beautiful day to spend strolling main street of this friendly island.
OK, so you can blame me for this one.  If you go to Vashon Island, you MUST go to this bakery.  It's just up the street from Island Quilters and worth the couple of blocks walk.
They showcased their baked goods at the outdoor market
I resisted, we were going for lunch right after viewing all these delicious looking pastries.  But a few of us, I won't mention any names, couldn't resist and took a stroll up to the bakery after lunch.  They said it was worth it,
The local quilters were out selling tickets for their quilt.  This is the back.
A few blocks on the front
And my favorite block on the whole quilt.

That's my story for today, it was a fabulous road trip that I took with about 18 other quilters.  It's a very organized group, someone rented a van, we all chipped in and let Tracy do the driving.  On the way home, we all switched seats so we got to visit with a different person, and I got to know a few of my fellow guild members a little bit more.
