To the Wall

Remember these? 110 blocks of red and cream?
Half of them have hit the design wall. Then work got busy this week and I haven't been back to the storage room. I need to find my painters tape to mark the rows.
I always use a black and white shot to help me spread out the values. Some of these blocks are darker and this is the best way to see what needs moved. Sometimes it's as simple as rotating a block.
Hope you get to stitch this weekend.

Sharon--this is beautiful!! I have wanted to try this pattern and I love it in the red and cream. Gorgeous!
What a clever idea to do the black and white photo to view the fabric value placement. Thanks for sharing that tip!

What a coincidence that you wrote about the black and white photos when checking values. At the quilt get-together today with friends one of them mentioned how designing quilts in B&W is a good method. She was demo'ing EQ7 on her computer for us when she mentioned it.

l always take a photo to see if blocks need moving, but this hint is new to me and will be used in the near future. Thanks for sharing it.

I have done this pattern in med/dk blues and creams for a charity quilt within our guild and loved it, but I have to say I love it even more in reds and creams. This is going to be a beauty.
